Adam Levine has a birthday today!

One of the most prominent artists of the current generation, the American Adam Levine, is celebrating his birthday today. Versatile and very talented, he leads Maroon 5, being a vocalist, guitarist, bassist, in addition to playing the piano and drums. Adam Noah Levine was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 18, 1979. He is the son of Patsy Noah and Fred Levine, has a brother, Michael, and a half sister, Julia. Levine attended Brentwood School (a private institution), where he met the original members of the band Kara’s Flowers soon after Maroon 5: Jesse Carmichael, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick.

Adam is left-handed and has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Despite his problem, he was always a good student and got good grades. A fanatical Lakers fan, the artist has already been photographed watching the games with several celebrities, including David Beckham and Zac Efron.

In 1998, still with Kara’s Flowers, he signed a contract with Reprise Records and released the album “The Fourth World”. After a season with her first album, in 1999, she ended her contract with the label. During college she got to know other musical styles, changing her way of singing. With this new musical vision of the group and a new member, James Valentine as guitarist, he renamed the band Maroon 5.

In all, he has released six albums: “Songs About Jane”, “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long”, “Hands All Over”, “Overexposed”, “V” and “Red Pill Blues”.

In 2010, he participated in the initiative “We Are the World 25 for Haiti”, singing with other artists, the famous song “We are the World”, from 1985. The song raised money for donations to the victims of the earthquakes that destroyed Haiti. In 2011, Adam and Maroon 5 participated in Rock in Rio, in Rio de Janeiro, on October 1st, returning in 2012 with a concert to promote their album “Overexposed”. In the same year, he debuted as a mentor on NBC’s “The Voice” alongside Christina Aguilera, Cee-lo Green and Blake Shelton. In all, he coached for 16 seasons of the reality show.

The American group has already won three Grammy Awards, and returned to Brazil in 2017 for a series of shows, including a new edition of Rock In Rio. Among the Maroon Five’s greatest hits are the songs “This Love”, “She Will Be Loved”, “Sunday Morning” and “Moves Like Jagger”, featuring Christina Aguilera.

Adam continues to be active with Maroon Five, selling out stadiums around the world and gaining new fans.
