Since Pokemon Sword & Shieldthe franchise Pokemon It has been left to duty in a very important section. It turns out that for different reasons, Game Freak decided to stop including all Pokémon in the new installments, instead giving a limited and incomplete Pokédex. This was repeated in Scarlet & Violetbut it could improve soon.
What happens is that, by accident, The Pokémon Company leaked that Pokémon Scarlet & Violet they could receive an expanded Pokédex. This happened at the San Diego Regional Championship, one of the first competitive events in Pokemon of the year.

But what happened? It turns out that fans noticed a manual sprite selector that was showing Pokémon that are not currently in Scarlet & Violet. This seems to confirm that Game Freak has worked on bringing more creatures to the game.
During the San Diego Regional Championships stream today, their manual sprite selector for team previews accidentally showed off Scarlet & Violet style menu sprites for Pokémon that are not currently in the games.

We could see more Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
In fact, now the fans of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet they believe that it is a matter of time before Game Freak releases an update that adds more Pokémon. Now, when will it arrive? That remains to be seen, most likely as a part of as yet unconfirmed downloadable content or as part of the Pokémon HOME integration.

Of course, it should be noted that this is a situation that has precedents. Let’s remember that Pokémon Sword & Shieldd debuted with an incomplete Pokédex, but future updates and DLC added hundreds more creatures. While the Pokédex never had all of the Pokémon, at least several of the favorites were present.
