Over the years, players have found numerous additional ways to challenge themselves within the game, and from time to time this bleeds into other media as well. First was Bloodborne PSXa demake in the style PS1 from the initial sections of the game, and now users of Minecraft they are also having fun too.
The YouTuber Potomy hhas spent the last few months recreating Yharnam City in Minecraft, with an astonishing degree of detail. The most recent update, posted on reddit isThis week, he showed the city in all its splendor, towering parapets and sinister bridges stretching out under a menacing yellow-orange sky. It’s a truly impressive piece of work, using a custom resource pack to channel as much of Bloodborne’s atmosphere of gothic oppression as possible.
Potomy youintends to put the map files on the market minecraft bedrock, and is working on a remake of the game for the version Java of Minecraft. Whether that means a full-world recreation or a truly playable game is currently unclear, though the latter would certainly prove challenging, even for a game as supremely moddable as Minecraft. Even recreating the world of Bloodborne in Minecraft will be a time-consuming endeavor, considering the months it has taken Potomy to rebuild Yharnam. However, with a bit of luck and a lot of patience, he’ll no doubt join in eventually.
