Randstad, the number 1 human resources company in Spain and in the world, has carried out a study on the impact that video games have on the professional development of workers. More than 2,800 million people play an average of one hour a day, a type of leisure that contributes to the development of useful skills in the world of work.
The report prepared by Randstad states that Fornite, Call of Duty: Warzone and League of Legends are the video games that train the most useful skills for the professional world. Fornite tops the list, as it is capable of developing six professional skills: communication, critical thinking, visual attention, personal motivation, perseverance, and teamwork.
For its part, Warzone generates five skills, critical thinking, multitasking, personal motivation, leadership and teamwork. League of Legends also trains five skills, in this case leadership, multitasking, perseverance, critical thinking and teamwork.
Already with fewer skills are FIFA (decision making and personal motivation), PUBG (personal motivation and teamwork), Zelda (decision making) and Minecraft (personal motivation).
Training for jobs as an operator, driver or plant manager
This study has also taken into account which professions are best suited to the skills that these video games develop. In this way, Fornite prepares especially for jobs as a machine operator (due to the ability to communicate and teamwork), driver (communication, perseverance, visual attention and stress resistance) and receptionist (communication).
