Oleksandr Kostyliev «s1mple» has once again shown why it is the living history of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO). The member of Natus Vincere has been proclaimed for the third time in his career the best player on the planet in the HLTV Award Show, held in Scotland. The Ukrainian has achieved a double in the awards organized by HTLV by also achieving recognition for the best player in his position during 2023. Precisely the fight has been marked by the AWPers, since Mathieu Herbaut «zywoo» and Dmitry Sokolov «sh1ro» have completed the podium.
S1mple has overcome all the difficulties with his third award for best player of the year, revalidating the one he already won in 2021. The AWPer has achieved recognition after a year where Natus Vincere’s journey has been marked by how the war in Ukraine has affected the club. Even in this type of context, the Ukrainian player has shone, getting the MVP award of the BLAST Premier: Spring Finale and the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) of Cologne. Beyond the individual recognitions, FaZe Clan and Nigma Galaxy have been proclaimed the teams of the year in the men’s and women’s categories respectively.
