The Fortnite Champion Series (FCS) 2023 will introduce us to a whole year of competition at the highest level.

Here’s the format:

FCS 2023 Format

MAJORS

The FCS 2023 will initially have three Majors, each of five weeks of online competition. It will be played in duos format and these Majors will replace the Elite Division Cups.

During each week there will be opportunities to advance directly to the Major, the top 50 duos from each region will qualify for the FNCS Major Weekly Finals that same week. The top 40 duos that have accumulated the most points over three weeks according to the leaderboard will advance to the Grand Finals of the FNCS Major.

The Grand Final of the FNCS Major will be held in March 2023, where the duos will have opportunities to advance to the top draw of the FNCS Global Championship 2023, which will be held in late 2023.

The Grand Finals of each FNCS Major will consist of two days of competition. Six games will be held each day, consisting of a total of twelve games. The top-scoring duos based on the FNCS Major Grand Finals leaderboard will win a share of the $2 million prize pool, with the top duo from each region advancing to the 2023 FNCS Global Championship.

LAST CHANCE

When Majors 1, 2, and 3 are over, one final Major will be held, where the duos will have one last chance to qualify for the 2023 FNCS Global Championship.

This Major in which the duos will have one last chance will be held from August 24 to 27. The top 250 duos from Round 1 of the Major: FNCS Last Chance will advance to Round 2, where they will compete over two days of competition. Six games will be held each day, consisting of a total of twelve games.

FNCS MAJOR: LAST CHANCE

GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP

It will take place between October and December of this 2023 in Copenhagen, Denmark, in person. There will be three days of competition with the 75 best duos in the world.

UPPER FRAME

The top 50 duos in the top bracket will compete in 5 matches during Day 1 of the FNCS Global Championship 2023. The top 25 duos that have accumulated the most points after matches according to the leaderboard will advance to the Grand Finals on Day 3. The top 25 duos that have accumulated the fewest points after 5 games according to the leaderboard will be relegated to the bottom bracket and will compete on day 2.

BOTTOM TABLE

On Day 2, the bottom 50 duos will have one last chance to earn a spot in the FNCS Global Championship 2023 Grand Finals, facing off in 5 games. The 25 duos with the most points after all 5 games will advance to the Grand Finals.

GRAND FINALE

The best duos in the world will be divided into the top and bottom brackets, and will compete in the grand final of the FNCS Global Championship 2023. It will consist of 6 games that will determine which duo will win the FNCS Global Championship 2023 .
