CS:GO: Everything you need to know about IEM Katowice 2023

The IEM Katowice 2023 is just around the corner and at CodigoEsports we leave you everything you need to know about the tournament.

The competitive CS:GO season is already underway and one of the first major stops of the year will be in Poland. From January 31will start the IEM Katowice 2023 and the Play-In Phase matchups are set. For this reason, at CodigoEsports we bring you all the information on the calendar, schedules and tournament matches which will award $1 million in prizes.

Pending the arrival of the first Major of the year, the first major international CS:GO event of the year will take place in Poland. In this case, it is the IEM Katowice 2023, which will be held from January 31 to February 12 and will begin with its Play-In stage. In this phase, there will be a total of 16 teams fighting to qualify for the next round, in what will be a double removal bracket. Notably the best 8 teams will advance to the Group Phase and all matches will be best of 3, except in the first round.

As in the previous edition, the Group Phase will have a double elimination format (GSL), where the best 3 of each zone will go to the Playoffs. Notably each group will have 8 teams, once the Play-In qualifiers are added. The group winners will go directly to the Semifinals, while the second and third will meet in the Quarterfinals.

In short, the world of Valve’s shooter now has everything ready to experience a new edition of the IEM Kawotice, one of the most prestigious tournaments in history. The competition will deliver a total of 1 million dollars in prizes and the champion will qualify directly to the IEM Cologne.
