How to download the latest Fortnite patch: update 23.40

To download the latest Fortnite patch, just open the game. It will ask us to update it, and we will simply have to download what is asked of us. New Reality Augments added with Fortnite patch 23.40

Fortnite patch 23.40 has also added new Reality Augments:

• extra bullet: Marksman Rifles gain 1 additional ammo slot in their magazine.
• Locksmith Degree: You get 2 keys to open Holocoffers.
• exotic larceny: You receive a random stolen Exotic weapon.
• Last chance: The last two rounds in the Pistol magazine deal additional damage.

Fortnite: Patch Notes 23.40

Here’s what’s planned to be fixed or changed in Fortnite with patch 23.40:

General Fortnite changes and fixes

• Due to an issue, players are unable to claim the additional style of the Mind’s Eye Back Bling. This will be fixed with this update.
• An unforeseen issue is causing the face of the Sarah Connor Resistance Leader style skin to appear wider than normal. This is expected to be fixed with this patch.
• An unknown bug is causing no game modes to appear in the selection menu. It will be fixed with this patch.
• A bug causes the Sparkle Specialist skin to have no glow or reflections. It will be fixed with this patch.

General Battle Royale Changes and Fixes

• School of the Flame banner icons appear grayed out or not at all for some players. This will be fixed with this patch.
• The Shadow Assault Reality Augmentation was disabled due to an issue. It will be enabled again after this update.
• The description of the Icy Slide Reality Augmentation is incorrect. It will be fixed with this patch.
• An unforeseen bug causes the Banana Loot Reality Augmentation to cause the treasure chest to spawn in inaccessible areas. This is expected to be fixed with this patch.

Creative changes and fixes

• Some tiles may become invisible in color change game modes due to an unknown bug. This will be fixed with this patch.
• The save device can reset the scores and other statistics of the players. This is expected to be fixed with this patch.

Changes and fixes of the Nintendo Switch and Mobile version

• An unknown issue is causing some devices to move Fortnite at 60 FPS despite our choosing the 90 FPS option. This is expected to be fixed with this patch.

Competitive Fortnite Notices

• The FNCS Major 1 will continue with update 23.40.
• Fortnite’s Most Wanted Stolen Exotic Weapons, Returning Weapons, and Bad Reputations are not included in Competitive Queues.
• Exotic Theft and Extra Bullet Reality Augments are not included in competitive queues.
