USA.- A recent snapshot of Minecraft which gave the game content for the next update of Trails & Tails featured a bug that allowed ships to climb blocks. While it may seem like a pretty useless inclusion, players are hoping that Mojang incorporate this as a full time feature to allow interesting tracks to be made from Ice. The next publication of Reddit toIt hosts some fast paced races and has captured the imagination of many people who want to build fun tracks in their own world.
Unfortunately for these hopeful track builders, Mojang quickly patched the snapshot, and the boats are back to not climbing any elevation. Some are pleading to add ice slabs as a compromise to allow ships to go up, but there is no word yet that this could happen. We imagine that all the content of Trails & Tails anda is set in stone, so a change like this isn’t likely to happen this year, at least.

While you normally think of going through the water with Boats, Minecraft allows you to move them through blocks of ice. blue ice, in particular, it allows you to move faster. With this in mind, you could technically make a racetrack, but it would just be flat since they can’t travel for blocks. Even road blocks like Carpet stop them in their tracks.
Blue ice blocks are already a common block to make roads to move around your world because they don’t melt. If players could make tracks that allowed racers to go up and down, you could have some very nifty races like going around a mountain.
Mojang is pretty good at listening to its community, so we definitely think there’s a chance we could see a ship-climbing block implementation in the future if they notice players want it. The only time they don’t want to work on something is if it might be harmful to someone, like frogs used to eat fireflies, and we don’t see that happening here.
