Bad Reputation in Fortnite: what it is and how to increase or reduce it

The event Most Wanted of Fortnite is here and with it has brought a new game mechanic: the Bad reputation. In this guide to Season 1 of Fortnite Chapter 4 we tell you what is bad reputation and how to increase or decrease it:

What is Bad Reputation in Fortnite

The Bad Reputation in Fortnite it’s a new game mechanic which arrived on 02/14/2023 with patch 23.40, which brought with it the event Most Wanted. At the top left of the screen is a counter with four icons of a flame The minimum Bad Reputation will have no flame lit, and the maximum Bad Reputation will have all four flame icons lit. Depending on our level, different effects are applied to us:

As you see, Bad Reputation allows us to get more gold from eliminated opponents in addition to gaining movement speed and automatic healing out of combat. The disadvantage is that the more Bad Reputation we have, we will appear for the other players both through the stage and on the minimap. Besides, Cold-blooded NPCs will attack us as soon as they see us as soon as we have a Bad Reputation. Keep in mind that Bad Reputation level is shared among all members in Duos, Trios and Squads.

How to increase or decrease Bad Reputation in Fortnite

we have several methods to make the Bad Reputation increase in Fortnite. We cannot make the Bad Reputation diminish.

As you can see, we have different methods to make our Bad Reputation rise. untraceable phones that are all over the map allow us to raise the Bad Reputation. When we are close to one, its icon will appear on the minimap. This is what it looks like:

with these phones we can pay 500 gold bars to make our Bad Reputation go up.
