The highly addictive and successful game Flappy Bird was removed from the App Store back in 2014, however, thanks to the hard work of some developers, the king is back and is now playable in Fortnite.

Flappy Bird was the game that everyone had in mind back in 2013. In this absurdly addictive game, players controlled a Flappy Bird. They had to tap the screen in time for the bird to flap its wings and propel itself up to avoid the approaching pipes.

The game itself was incredibly addictive and could be picked up and played almost anytime, anywhere. Plus, it was infinite, which meant players could keep playing until they lost, and start over immediately with no downtime. In fact, the game was so addictive and disruptive to its players that its lead designer, Dong Nguyen, pulled it from all app stores in 2014.

Though it looks like the king has made his return, albeit in a slightly different format. Flappy Bird has made his actual entrance into Fortnite, in the form of the aptly named “Droopy Flops”. Droopy Flops is exactly the same as Flappy Bird in that players must “float” through a series of pillars and spikes instead of flapping.

Game developers Infinity Studios recreated the iconic mobile game within Fortnite with their own set of original characters, including Dolphin Copter, Bugger Duckie, Book of Colors, Dragonstony, and Sweet Rush. Fortnite players can enter their Arcade Island and start playing their fill.

Infinity Studios has just released Droopy Flops thanks to Fortnite Creative 2.0 and as such, expect a lot of bugs to appear while playing the game. Players who find bugs can send feedback to Infinity Studios on their Twitter page as they continue to create more games to complete their arcade.

Interested Fortnite players can access their island code via their Fortnite webpage here.
