Are you ready to defy gravity? Ariana Grande yes. The singer will play Glinda, the Good Witch of the West, in the movie Wicked, based on the Broadway play, which tells the untold story of the witches of Oz. Last Sunday, the 16th, the first images of the feature were released and gave spoilers about the characterizations of Ariana and Cynthia Erivo, who will live Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West.
All worked on the character’s iconic pink dress, the singer appeared up the stairs, showing off her blonde locks, while Cynthia was wearing black clothes, green skin and a pointed hat.
Ariana took the opportunity to repost an old tweet in Stories. In December 2011, she stopped by Broadway, in New York, in the United States, to check out the play up close, and wrote:
Loved seeing Wicked again. An incredible production. It made me realize how much I want to play Glinda someday.
Looks like the dream came true huh! The film is expected to be released on November 27, 2024.
