So far, she has approached the top three other times – in 2010 with “Lights”2012 with “Halcyon” and 2020 with “Brightest Blue”. With the new feat, Goulding became one of the solo singers with the most number 1 albums in the UK, equaling Adele.
‘Higher Than Heaven’
Released last Friday, his fifth album had been confirmed in October last year. As promised, the collection is marked by pop elements, with happy melodies, marked rhythms and frequent synthesizers.

The artist revealed that she was indirectly inspired by the pandemic. “There was a darkness that was palpable in the studio, with everyone having experienced it differently. I think for that reason, nobody wanted to sit around and beat themselves up over some relationship or some drama. That’s how this album came together. ‘Higher Than Heaven’ is about being passionately in love. But it’s a hyperbolic form of love, almost like a drug-induced feeling. It’s almost artificial, with the potential for a meltdown.”, he explains.
