An anti-Putin paramilitary group is reportedly planning to carry out another cross-border raid in Russia amid turmoil inside the Kremlin. In an interview with the Observer, a spokesman for the Freedom of Russia Legion says its legion is planning a new attack from Ukraine into Russia in its ongoing plans to “liberate all of our territory” in the midst of the war. The group, which consists of around 200 Russian military volunteers, has already carried out several attacks earlier this summer. “There will be a further surprise in the next month or so,” the spokesperson told the magazine. “It will be our third operation. After that there will be a fourth and fifth. We have ambitious plans.”
