IMPD is investigating a fatal shooting on the city’s southeast side

IMPD responds to a deadly shooting scene at Camby’s home on July 22, 2023.

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are investigating what led to the shooting death of a person on the city’s southwest side early Saturday morning.

IMPD says they were called to a home off Orchard Grove Lane near Trotter Road and Heartland Boulevard in Camby just after 1 p.m. 7:30. They found a victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. PIOs are responding.

The investigation is ongoing.
