Omaha police confirm a man was shot near the 17th. and Nicholas streets on Saturday afternoon. Officers said Joe Jackson, 52, was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg around 5 p.m. 13.30 and is expected to survive. According to investigators at the scene, the man was uncooperative, so no suspect information is available at this time. Police are asking anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 402-444-7867. If your tip leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a $10,000 reward.
