BURBANK, Calif. – Dealing with the intense heat in California is tough, but it’s nice to hear someone found a way to cool off.
Burbank police said they were called Friday afternoon after the bear was spotted in a hillside neighborhood before taking a dip in the water and soaking up the scenery along the way.
“This bear beats the heat in Burbank,” the officers said on Twitteralong with a short clip of the furry intruder.
Back then, the temperature in Burbank reached 92 degrees.
Relief from the searing heat many Americans have been dealing with for the past several weeks is finally on the horizon.
This should bring good news to everyone, including bears exhausted from sweating through above-average temperatures.
If you encounter a bear, follow these guidelines from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife: Do not run; look instead of the animal, make noise and try to appear as big as possible.
It is crucial to take action and defend yourself in the event of an attack.
If a bear attacks, it is imperative to contact 911 immediately for help.
