Successful contestants will be allowed to crow for a year as the results are out for the ninth annual Biggest Little City Wing Fest in Reno.
Five different winners won top prizes for the five different categories in this year’s competition. This year’s categories were People’s Choice, Celebrity’s Choice, Best BBQ Wing, Best Dry Rub Wing and Best Unique Wing.
The Biggest Little City Wing Fest was held in downtown Reno from the 28th-29th. July and had 19 participants this year. It also attracted a ton of attendees eager to try traditional staples like buffalo and barbecue wings as well as more offbeat offerings like strawberry cheesecake and salted caramel wings.
The event expected to make more than 20,000 pounds of wings in two days.
The Reno Gazette Journal also entered this year’s Celebrity’s Choice contest again, sampling 19 different wings in the process.
