The PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the Bomb Rush Cyberfunk launches on September 1 – two weeks after Switch and PC (Steam) version’s August 18 release, developer Team Reptile announced. It will cost $39.99.
Here’s an overview of the game, via Team Reptile:
About
Team Reptile brings you Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, a second by second of very advanced funk style. In a world from the mind of Dion Koster, where self-designed crews are equipped with personal boost packs, new heights of graffiti are reached. Launch your own cypher and dance, paint, trick, confront the police, and stake your claim on the extrusions and voids of a sprawling metropolis in an alternate future set to Hideki Naganuma’s musical brainwaves.
Key features
- In the game, you can choose a character from your team and freely explore the three-dimensional streets.
- The goal is to bomb and get your name up. Each neighborhood has many places to find where you can paint graffiti. Once you get enough REP, you can challenge the local crew for the territory.
- Has a unique trick system with grinding, sliding, wallrunning and tricking in the air as well as on the ground.
- You will encounter a lot of weirdos.
Graffiti
Your boost pack allows you to hit even the craziest spots with ease. When you are near a graffiti spot, you can activate graffiti mode and become suspended in the air. Hit all the targets and the sequence you make determines the piece that appears! Bigger spots mean more targets to hit before the timer runs out.
Tricks
You can put together your tricks and graffiti in combinations to increase your score. Land a combo and your score will transform to increase power. The more stylish you are, the more you can use this boost power to zoom through town at top speed. Do a crazy enough combo and you’ll enter Bomb Rush Mode and get infinite boost power.
