BOONE COUNTY, Mo. (KMIZ)
One person is dead and another was in custody following an assault early Tuesday morning.
Capt. Brian Leer, of the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, said deputies responded to the 4800 block of Clearview Road in Boone County just before 7:30 a.m. for an assault.
Deputies found a woman who died after being shot, according to Leer. He also said a man is in custody in connection with the shooting, but no charges have been filed.
“We don’t think there’s any outstanding, like I said before, we have a case in custody,” Leer said.
The incident was likely a domestic violence situation, Leer said.
