There are a number of similarities between two of Niantic’s mobile games, in Pokémon Go and NBA All-World. Both games have a feature called Adventure Sync, which allows players to progress through in-game tasks without having the app open. So how can Adventure Sync be activated in NBA All-World? We’ll see.

How to activate Adventure Sync in NBA All-World
To activate Adventure Sync in NBA All-World, here is what users will need to do. First, click the ball icon on the screen to enter the game menu. Once this is done, press the ‘Settings’ icon in the menu.
Here, All-World players can tweak a number of settings, including the volume of music and sounds. Below those options and the ‘Vibration’ setting is the Adventure Sync control. By default, it will be off. If you click on the transparent circle next to Adventure Sync, it will become one. If you want to disable it, click it again.
But before Adventure Sync can be activated, users will be asked to allow All-World to receive access to their location, even if the app is closed. For Android users, select ‘Allow all the time’. A prompt will then appear for Google Fit, asking if it’s okay for the app to access your fitness activity. Press ‘Allow’ to activate.
For iOS folks, here’s what you’ll need to do:
- Open the Apple Health app
- Select Sources and under the Applications option, make sure NBA All-World is listed as a connected device
So why is Adventure Sync important? Well, just like in Pokémon Go, users have the option to track physical progress in the game without having the app open. Since NBA All-World requires users to move to track progress toward team levels and warm-up games, having Adventure Sync can allow users to progress through the title as long as the device is available.
