What will be the new prices for champions of League of Legends?
To introduce the new pricing system, Riot divided champions into various tiers based on the aforementioned parameters. The adjustments will generally favor the community, but it is also important to mention that there will be increases in very specific cases.
On the other hand, Riot will also launch a pack of new champions. The study promised that this novelty will be offered at an even more accessible price and that it will “cover a variety of gameplay roles of each level.” Below I leave you the prices and in parentheses some examples of the champions that are at those levels:
- 450 BE / 260 RP: ideal champions for new players (Malphite, Miss Fortune and Yuumi)
- 1350 BE / 585 RP: champions with a higher level of challenge, but very accessible to newbies (Yasuo, Lucian and Sett)
- 3150 BE / 790 RP: champions that have a higher level of difficulty or specialization in their gameplay (LeBlanc, Shaco and Yorick)
- 4444 BE / 880 RP: this level only includes “beauty and perfection”, according to Riot Games
- 4800 BE / 880 RP: most champions are at this level
- 6300 BE / 975 RP: champions that were released in the last 2 Seasons. They will level up at the start of the next season.
- 7800 BE / 975 RP: champions that have been released in the last week
Riot noted that there are a few exceptions, as Singed, Kayle, Twisted Fate, and Ryze will increase their price to 4,800 BE. From their perspective, they are champions who are not ideal for rookies. On the other hand, he promised to keep his price at 260 RP to be a bit more accessible with the adjustment.
When do the new prices come into effect? League of Legends?
The study revealed that the adjustments will take effect from version 13.5 of the game. Finally, he explained that the changes represent a significant reduction in the EA/RP cost of the general roster of champions.
