Director of Shazam! Fury of Gods, David F. Sandberg, is already thinking about possible Shazam 3.

In an interview with the website ComicBook, the director David F. Sandberg talked about the possible next film in the franchise. Sandberg indicated that villains Dr. Silvana and Mr. Brain, who appeared in the post-credits scenes of the first two Shazam movies, are expected to be in the plot.
The two villains were expected to appear during the course of Shazam! Gods Furybut the director preferred to leave them for another opportunity.
“Our original idea was to actually have Mister Brain and Sivalna in this movie (Shazam 2) and having Mister Brain allow the gods to come here as part of a bigger plan, but it was too much of a story to tell because the movie is already over two hours long without him. We just had to have the gods show up this time, which I would love to see more of Mister Mind, but maybe another time.”
However, even if DC approves a third party shazamthe director said that the new film would take a while to come out because he needs to rest after making Shazam 1 and 2. That is, if you leave Shazam 3don’t expect to see it until at least 2027, four years from now, the same difference between the first features of Champion of Magic.
“I certainly need some rest, having done two Shazam movies in a row, and it takes a lot of time and a lot of work.”
In the second post-credits scene of Shazam! Gods Fury, which tells the two villains we see Dr. Sivana in prison, with a full beard and lots of scribbles on the wall. Mr. Brain crawls out the window, saying their plan needs a little more time, but soon they’ll have what they need to take over.
