Fortnite It is the video game as a service of excellence. Over the course of 5+ long years, it has seen a multitude of changes that, for better or worse, have changed the core of the experience. Along these lines, the original map disappeared in 2019 after the end of Chapter 1. Feeling nostalgic and want to revisit it? Now it is possible.
In case you didn’t hear, the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) Beta is now available, a new set of tools that allows developers and fans to create their own worlds and game modes in the free-to-play Battle Royale. Neither short nor lazy, the community got down to work and already created all kinds of crazy projects.

While some developers dedicate their efforts to recreate titles like Grand Theft Auto, call of duty and many more, others used the benefits of UEFN, also known as Creative 2.0, to recover one of the most iconic elements of the Epic Games video game: the original map.

The first Fortnite island is back thanks to Creative 2.0 and the talented community!
Shortly after the release of Creative 2.0, a user group known as Atlas OG Battle Royale on Twitter released a recreation of the original island that spanned 10 seasons during Chapter 1 of Fortnite. The end result is impressive, but there are some important notes to consider.
The authors of the project stated that since the creators can only use 100,000 elements, they needed to remove some sections of the map and other issues. For example, the grass, the prison area, the supplies that fall from the sky and certain mechanics are conspicuous by their absence.
The map is ready to play and we are in the publishing process now. There are some issues with publishing for all creators. We will hopefully have an update for you soon. Thank you all for your support and patience! pic.twitter.com/YqR3j6onzs

Despite these limitations, visiting the original map will feel very nostalgic for a section of the community that has played free-to-play battle royale since its inception. If you want to join the party and rediscover the first island, you can do so by entering the code 2179-7822-3395 in the Discover tab in-game.
Of course, it is possible that in the next few days more projects will come out. For example, another team known as Reboot Royale is also working on a recreation of the original Fortnite island. In a post on Twitter, he explained that they are already in the final preparations, so its launch is imminent.
