Since it was known that Shakira and Gerard Piqué were facing a separation, both had a negotiation for the custody of the two children, which was the biggest problem that the celebrities faced. Ultimately, Shakira managed to keep custody of Sasha and Milan and, as she wished, the possibility of leaving Spain and starting a new life in her Miami mansion.

However, new information seems to indicate that the Colombian would have changed her mind and now what she is looking for is to move to a private island with her children, for privacy reasons, according to journalist Álex Rodríguez.

“Just a few days ago, I found out that Shakira would be interested in another house which, although it is very close to there, is not accessible to the public. It’s on a private island. It belongs to an Indian businessman and Shakira shared with one of her best friends in Miami the intention of living near her”, said the communicator.

Why does Shakira no longer want to live in her Miami home?

In addition to the reasons mentioned above, the communicator also said that the fact that her current mansion is located on a public access street would not be the singer’s biggest problem; what Shakira wouldn’t like very much is the possibility that people passing by boat through the pier area, across Miami Bay, could see her pool.

Álex Rodríguez also said that given the state of health of Shakira’s father, the Colombian woman’s move was postponed: “The house is not ready for her to move in on April 1st and everything will depend on her father.
