The most anticipated video games of 2023: Harry Potter, Spider-Man and much more

Added to the already known games such as Valorant, Counter Strike, Fortnite, FIFA, among others, this 2023 promises great releases: North American video game developer Avalanche Software prepares for the first half of the year “HOGWARTS LEGACY”, a game set in the World of Harry Potter. For fans of this famous saga, the video game will be available from February 10 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC/Steam Deck, on April 4 on PS4 and on July 25 on Nintendo Switch. “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2”: will be the sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man, a game that for a large part of the community is the best in terms of superhero themes, and will have the inclusion of Venom, antagonist par excellence of the cinematographic world of Spider-Man. The developer Insomniac Games will release the second part of the successful title at the end of 2023, and it will be available only for PlayStation 5.

“Hollow Knight Silksong”: belonging to the action-adventure genreand sequel to Hollow Knight, released in 2017. One of the most distinctive details of this game is that it also qualifies for a subgenre called Metroidvania, which features non-linear and non-guided gameplay, and the exploration and progression of the same video game. It consists of presenting a map of an interconnected world, with areas that cannot be reached without first unlocking some ability. Australian developer Team Cherry, who announced Hollow Knight: Silksong over 3 years ago, hopes to have the game ready by no later than June 2023.

The Russian developer FNTASTIC will launch on March 1st one of the highlights of the survival genre and MMO games (Massively Multiplayer Online): The Day Before. The story takes place in North America, after a pandemic leaves a large balance of infected people and survivors who fight each other to obtain food, cars, etc.

“STARFIELD”: the next sci-fi release developed by the American company Bethesda Game Studios. The video game, as one of the main features, is RPG (Role Playing Game), which means role playing. It will be exclusive for Xbox Series X and/or S and for PC. Its release date is stipulated for the first half of the year.

To finish the list, Japanese developer Nintendo will release “The Legend Of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom”, the sequel to the hit title The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is one of the most anticipated by the gaming community, and probably the one that generates the most expectations in terms of the open world games, that is, those that do not have artificial barriers or invisible walls that prevent exploring the entire map. Just as Nintendo develops the game, it will only be available for Nintendo Switch, starting May 12.
